These are more than just corners — they are a simultaneous divisions and additions of space through planes and color fields approaching and leaving one another. They adress liminality as fleeting thresholds affixed to their surroundings. completely different but composed of the same elements-ubiquitous and unsettling iterations. sacred geometry. Noticing the corners opens up their meaning-each one becoming more like a portal-uniquely ornamental and supportive, however fleeting they may be.

Mag Haener is a queer, non-binary artist studying at the University of Idaho and living in Moscow.  Their work focuses on abstract familiarities of feeling as well as using visual language to transcend limits of the corporeal form.
