My work is an exploration into my relationship to masculinity. Growing up as a closeted queer kid in a small town I felt the burden to achieve a predetermined social identity and have been making this work as a way to gain a better understanding of my experience. I am interested in how the pressure to uphold and perpetuate the typical male role manifests in the physical and psychological environment.
